چکیده
Background: Lung cancer is one of the neoplasms that most frequently spreads to meninges and currently there no consensus or standard management this condition. Intrathecal chemotherapy (IC) has been adopted as an attempt reach disease control, however real-world data regarding efficacy therapeutic approach yet be described in literature. Aim: To evaluate impact intrathecal on overall survival (OS) patients with lung leptomeningeal carcinomatosis a contemporary setting. Methods: Our study was performed by using TriNetX, global health network dataset electronic medical records from 101 healthcare organizations around world. We queried for specific terms between January 2003 March 2023 propensity score matching (PSM) analysis cohort balancing. Cohort 1 enrolled submitted IC while 2 not receiving during their treatment pathway. OS estimated Kaplan–Meier log-rank test applied. Results: After initial query matching, 139 were selected each cohort. Methotrexate (42%) Cytarabine (32%) frequent received common sequence followed Median 109 days (cohort 1) 280 those who did receive 2), Hazard Ratio 1.538 (95% CI 1.148 - 2.060) log rank providing x2 8.462 p= 0.004. Conclusions: In despite limitations inherent analysis, our revealed had detrimental effect increased risk death among having carcinomatosis.
